Aisha Jamila Hinds is a well-known American actor. Her fame is due to her role in TV series The Shield, and True Blood. The versatility of her character has been shown in TV series including 9-1-1 Detroit 1, 8-7, and Under the Dome since she first made an appearance acting in 2003. As of 2005 she was noticed initially for her role as Anna in Assault on Precinct 13 But it was her performance as feminist activists Fannie Lou Hamer on the film biographical All the Way that finally made her an actor. Hind was also praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 was renewed for its third series by 20th Century Fox Television. Hind recently wrapped up shooting on the Hollywood film Godzilla: King of the Monsters, which will release at the beginning of 2019. His father Krishnaraj is a senior Army scientist and died in March of 2017. Her mother Vrinda was a housewife. Aditya is her older brother, and is an engineer for merchant ships. Bachchan's brother produced and co-wrote Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mother. The family moved to Mumbai in the city, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. Jai Hind College where she completed her entire academic year finished her second year of school before taking a place at D.G. Ruparel College Matunga was where she was awarded a mark of 90% in her H.S.C. exams. As a teenager she spent five years studying classical music as well as dancing. She loved studying zoology. Bachchan was a student of architecture when she was awarded the title of Miss World 1994. This was an honor that made Bachchan a star in the world of modeling. She was awarded lucrative contracts in the form of Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc. as well as an L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. Two of the first films she made in her career included Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and Iruvar. Bachchan rose to prominence in The New Bollywood because both films changed the Bollywood film genre on its head. Bachchan became the Queen of Bollywood with her portrayal of Paro the lover who was betrayed of Paro in Devdas, (2002). Devdas was one of Bollywood's biggest successes. It was also the first film to screen at Cannes Film Festival. She received great praise for her performance in Chokher Bali (2003) which was a dramatic film based on Rabindranath Tagore's book. She was the first Indian to serve on the jury for the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan made an appearance in Gurinder Chadha's Bride and Prejudice which is a musical and a dance version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Bachchan has been able to add her beauty and star power in her debut English language film. The return of Bachchan to Bollywood was for Dhoom: 2 2006 before she made Provoked A True Story (2006). In April 2007 she married Abhishek Bachchan a frequent co-star, and child of Bollywood great Amitabh Bachchan in a marriage that brought together two of India's most powerful people.
