Emma Stone
Emily Jean Stone, also known as Emma,
was born in Scottsdale, Arizona on November 6, 1988. She was married to Krista
Jean Stone (nee Yeager), who is a housewife, as well as Jeffrey Charles Stone
(CEO of a firm that contracts and was its founder and CEO). She is of Swedish
as well as British Isles origins. Stone began acting in her early years as an
Valley Youth Theatre member in Phoenix, Arizona. She made her stage debut in
Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows." In her teens, Stone
appeared in many other productions until she decided to make acting her career.
Informally, she developed a PowerPoint presentation, supported by Madonna's
"Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to convince her
parents to allow her to go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. The pitch
worked and she and her mother moved to LA and completed her education at home.
There she would spend working on auditions. Her TV debut came when she was cast
as Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004).
The show was followed by a few minor TV parts over the years. After several
successful performances she was then able to play the role of Jules in Superbad
(2007). Her fame as Olive was a highlight of her role in Easy A (2010) followed
by several more roles. Attended Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona.
Although she's a redhead the hair color that is natural to her is blonde. Judd
Apatow was the one who suggested that she change her hair's color for Superbad
(2007). The film was so well-received , she chose to keep her hair. When she
was 15years old, she convinced her parents to allow her to go to Hollywood
through the PowerPoint presentation that was appropriately titled Project
Hollywood. She began acting when she was 11 years old, at Phoenix's Valley
Youth Theatre. Here she performed on 16 stages, and performed in the theatre's
comedy improv group. Caylee Cowan also acted at the Valley Youth Theatre.
